Mike Williams, Esq. 

Mike Williams is of counsel with North Florida Lawyers, PLLC. He has lived in Florida for most of his life.  He graduated from the University of Florida cum laude with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Criminology in 2006.  While attended the University of Florida he was very involved and was an equipment manager for the Florida Gator football team.  He went to law school at Florida Coastal School of Law and graduated in 2010 in the top 25% of his class.  He also acquired a certificate in Environmental Law and participated in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition where he was recognized as a best advocate.

 

After passing the Florida Bar in 2010, he began a career as an Assistant State Attorney serving the people of Florida.  He has worked in both the Fifth Judicial Circuit in central Florida and the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade county.  With over three years as a criminal prosecutor and numerous jury trials under his belt, Mike brings significant litigation and case management skills to North Florida Lawyers, PLLC.  Mike knows how criminal cases are prosecuted and handled from both sides of the bar as he has handled hundreds of cases in his career.  

 

Mike also worked for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the Hague in the summer of 2009. Mike has significant ties to Jacksonville, Ocala, Miami and the Central Florida area and is familiar with numerous other geographic areas in State of Florida.  Mike additionally, has significant private practice experience including federal civil experience.  Mike has over six years of practice and has practiced in criminal defense, landlord tenant, small claims, family law and several other areas of practice.   Mike is an excellent addition to the firm and brings a diverse background.
